Timber is a natural material and therefore close to people's hearts. At AILONA we produce houses that fit with the rich log homes culture found in the middle and northern Europe. Logs are a natural choice for every season and all conditions.
As raw material we use Lithuanian Pinewood. Pinewood has been used for centuries as the traditional material of houses and other buildings in Europe.
The wood "breathes." This means that it is open for diffusion in both directions, because billions of tiny cells ensure there is an on-going renewal of the air molecules in the inner room. At the same time, the surface temperature of wooden elements in the inner rooms of the building is always similar to the corresponding room air temperature and, therefore, always pleasant for the people living there. The log walls regulate humidity by absorbing moisture and discharging it again when the outer conditions change. The electrostatic properties of wood mean that it does not get charged up with static electricity causing minimal dust to be whirled around in the rooms. This is appreciated particularly by people suffering from allergies.
DESIGN
Log houses are offen chosen by client, who values originality, and comfort. A large majority of homes are custom-designed homes from a clean sheet of paper, made exactly to an individual customer's desired specifications. Customers can either bring their own floor plan, or we can recommend an authorized design engineer who specializes in log houses to fulfill their dream project.
We manufacture log house according to your own designs. We can also resolve the technical solutions concerning log building in order to fulfil your plans with great expertise and quality.
CONSTRUCTIONS
AILONA puts full emphasis on quality and precision throughout the whole production process. State-of-the-art CAD technology is used to show every home precisely on the screen, right down to the last detail. The home is then produced in the AILONA factory using this data for computer precision. All log beams are produced here, completely ready for erection on the building site.
Log houses are manufactured from round logs. Round log constructions are produced from 180-260 mm diameter logs. The special profiles of the round logs mean that the joints are absolutely solid. Even after many decades, the walls are just as solid as on the first day.
PRODUCING
Producing may be of two types:
1) we make only log constructions which customer assembles by himself;
2) we can offer delivery and construction of the house in the place were the client needs.
TERMS AND WARRANTY
5 YEARS WARRANTY FOR QUALITY OF MATERIALS AND MONTAGE.
Each year we build near 30 houses.It takes abt. 3/4 month to produce a house from the order.
This term depends on house size and building complexity.
MATERIAL AND TECHNOLOGIES
Log houses are constructed from company`s or client`s log wood.
Other building material: mounting equipment, floor boards, windows, doors etc. are used according client`s wishes.
We build houses using Scandinavian technologies. Ready log construction humidity is 20 %.
Windows and doors are wooded.
We recomend heavier roof covering: concrete or clay tiles, cane, straw, shingle. You may use other material also, for example bitumen tyles, slate, tin etc.
Floor can be covered with different material: floor boards from spruce, oak boards, parquet, tiles. Stairs are made from conifer or hardwood.
Beams can be left uncovered. Ceiling can be different. We offer old style technology board-to-board, ...
Terrace cover also is of great choise.
Houses should be painted with special impregnating wood paint. There is a big colour choise. After painting wood structure remains visible.
Houses can be heated with fireplaces, solid fuel stoves, gas boilers, electrical heaters.
CLIENTS
Most of our clients are individual customers. AILONA sell houses in Lithuania and foreign countries. Our log houses have tremendous demand abroad. We export log houses mainly to Denmark, Austria, Germany and Sweden. |
